Frying ovens are designed for uniform frying of peanut, pistachio, hazelnut, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, coffee, soya beans, etc. Special frying method (contact-convectional) allows for obtaining high gustatory qualities of the products.

SCOPE OF APPLICATION

Drum frying ovens are applied for frying the following:

  • Nuts (peanut, hazelnut, almond, cashew, etc.);
  • Cacao beans;
  • Sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame, etc.;
  • Grains, barley, malt, etc.
  • DESCRIPTION AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE

    Drum frying ovens for nuts and seeds provide uniform and quick frying and drying of seeds, nuts, grains and other similar products. The frying method is contact-convectional: the product is fried due to its contact with heated drum and simultaneous forced blast of hot air. Heating elements are located along the drum perimeter.

    All parts being in contact with the product are made of food grade stainless steel.

    The product is fried inside the drum where paddles of special structure are located; the latter mix the product thoroughly without messing it up.

    Ventilation system provides effective removal of moisture, dirt and dust. Ventilation exhaust intensity is adjusted by means of gate valve. 

    Sample extractor allows for control of product readiness degree without interrupting the frying process. 

    The equipment is all-purpose due to its ability to adjust the processing temperature in a wide range – it can both dry and fry any types of seeds and nuts, irrespective of their initial moisture, including the products processed in saline solution. 

    The seeds can be fried both shelled and refined (hulled). There is a sunflower seed hulling unit designed for removal of seed shells.

    Automatic control panel maintains the set temperature during the whole drying process. After the specified processing time, the heating is switched off and sound signal is given.

    Finished product can be quickly unloaded due to drum hyper-velocity reverse rotation. Usage of up-to-date heat-insulating materials minimizes heat losses and thus saves energy.

     

    Loading into frying unit can be performed by means of conveyer, skip hoist loader or manually. Fried product (peanut, seeds, nuts, coffee, etc.) is unloaded into cooling equipment.

  • Sample extractor: it allows for extracting product samples during the drying process, thus enabling to determine the degree of product readiness as precisely as possible.
  • Programming unit: it sets product frying or drying modes, namely:- frying temperature (up to 250°С) maintained automatically; - temperature at which one group of heating elements is switched off (for energy saving purposes); - frying or drying time, sound alarm is activated at the end of the cycle; - operating modes of forces ventilation.

  • Manual unloading of product out of frying oven: it is applied in case of power supply disconnection. This device allows for quick unloading of the product.
